Welcome to Shady Hollow

The Where

Shady Hollow is a residential community located about ten miles southwest of Austin in southwestern Travis County near the Travis and Hays county border. Brodie Lane divides the community south of Slaughter Lane and residences from the east side to the west side make up an eclectic, vibrant community.

The Skinny

The 3 sections that make up Shady Hollow have homes that range in size from just over 1,200 sq. ft. to over 5000 sq. ft. of the larger homes and lots in the Estates of Shady Hollow.  There are a mix of builders who built in Shady Hollow from custom Build On Your Lot, to production builders such as David Weekly Homes, Doyle Wilson Homes and Scott Felder Homes to name a few.

While the original community of Shady Hollow began in the early ‘70s, homes in the Estates of Shady Hollow were built in the 80’s & 90’s on 1 acre lots. The Villages of Shady Hollow homes began mostly in the 1990’s through the early 2000’s.   Shady Hollow West homes were built in the early 2000’s and completed in 2002.
